This new development, part of the ESFA framework, will house over 700 new students specialising in engineering and creative digital technologies. The centre will enable a close partnership with local major employees, such as AMRC University of Sheffield; another project we delivered.
The new facility will comprise of a five-storey teaching block and three-and-a-half-storey sports hall, with dining below, and a four-storey lecture theatre with a roof terrace. We were chosen to supply the structural package for this education project.
Upon completion of this project, the first we have completed for Willmott Dixon, we were scored using their ‘Construction Works Partner Performance’. This covered all aspects of the project, from commercial through to site activities.
We achieved an 88/100 score across the board, specifically excelling in ‘Programme and People’. Our Contracts Manager being especially commended for his “collaboration, behaviour and attitude”.
