News Update£3 Million Expansion Programme Now CompleteElland Complete £3 million expansion programme. This major investment in increased production, production capacity and specialist will enable sustained and controlled growth for the next period of business planning. The additional facilities include 46,000sq.ft. of production space to house the most advanced “state of the art” CNC manufacturing equipment. Also a 20,000Sq.ft new treatment area which will maximise efficiency and quality of the final product with a fully integrated conveyor roller system, advanced heating ventilation and extraction processes. The demolition of an existing building leaving an 80,000Sq.ft area of open space allows future expansion opportunities to be considered to the benefit of it’s customers “Working In Partnership”. Elland Meets The Gold StandardElland has been presented with a Gold Award for Regional Contractor of the Year in the HBG Construction Annual Supply Chain Awards. This was in recognition of Ellands overall high performance and on a National level Elland were the only structural steelwork contractor to be recognised in the awards. Manchester Schools BSF Framework Agreement
Elland were chosen from a list of ten structural
steelwork contractors following a rigorous pre-selection review period
to work within a Framework Agreement with Balfour Beatty / Laing
O’Rourke providing structural steelwork for schools to various sites in
Manchester with an overall building programme value in excess of £600
million. Two sites are currently in progress with a combined tonnage in
excess of 1000 tonnes. Ministry of Defence WorkElland is “Working In Partnership” with Carillon at Catterick Garrison providing structural steelwork in excess of £3 million over the next twelve months for various buildings. Catterick is to become a Super Garrison and with early involvement Elland can contribute and maximise its expertise to the benefit of the project. SustainabilityElland are members of the Sustainability Charter and are keen to play their part to focus on all the sustainability benefits steel has to offer and will be difficult to beat when the combination of environmental, social and commercial aspects of sustainability are fully considered. Continuous Improved Performance – Health and SafetyElland are committed to achieving a zero incident / accident rate. Historically the company has an excellent track record, however methods, procedures and systems of work are constantly reviewed with new ones introduced to ensure continuous improved performance is achieved in the business in relation to Health and Safety. Early planning and preparation, liaison with local HSE offices, BCSA directive and support, total company commitment at all levels and a desire will help us achieve our goals going forward.
